HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO HIRE YOU AS A PERSONAL CHEF? Pricing varies as each individual quote is based on factors such as location, dietary needs, menu selection and number of guests. For meal preparation and kitchen staging I charge an hourly rate, with grocery costs being additional. For full-service Lunch or Dinner meals, the pricing is an all-inclusive per-person rate (meaning food cost is also included in the price). DO YOU COOK FOR FOOD ALLERGIES AND INTOLERANCES? WHAT ABOUT SPECIAL DIETS? Absolutely. I am well versed in Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten-Free cooking. We can discuss all of your dietary needs, allergies, intolerances and preferences. I always customize my menus to suit you.
DO YOU CATER? IS IT POSSIBLE TO JUST HAVE THE ALREADY PREPARED FOOD DELIVERED? No. As a Personal Chef, all the cooking I do is done on-site. Cooking everything in your home/venue as opposed to offsite provides you with the freshest, safest food possible. For large in-home parties or events, it is possible to cater up to 24 hours ahead of time, with the use of your kitchen.
DO YOU BRING ALL YOUR POTS & PANS? Most often I will bring everything I need. Occasionally I may use some of the existing equipment in your kitchen, but this will always be discussed and agreed upon ahead of time.
FOR PRIVATE MEALS, DO WE SET THE TABLE OR DO YOU? Occasionally the client prefers to set the table their way, but I can certainly set it for you. Just show me where the table linens, plates, glasses & silverware you would like to use are and I’d be happy to do it.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO BEFORE YOU ARRIVE? All I need is a working oven, refrigerator, freezer and clean counter space. I do ask counters be cleaned off, as well as ample refrigeration space.
HOW FAR WILL YOU TRAVEL? My services are primarily offered to those living in or visiting the Haliburton Highlands. I am willing to travel further, however additional travel fees may apply.
CAN I GIVE YOUR SERVICES AS A GIFT? Yes of course! Gift Certificates are perfect for new parents, friends or family, busy lives or even to say “I love you!”
